Zantac is a drug whose function is to control the production of gastrointestinal acid that your stomach makes. It is used primarily to prevent and treat peptic ulcers in the stomach and intestines. Among the side effects you may experience are hives, chest pain, shortness of breath, fever, and green or yellowish cough discharge.
